Etsy and eBay photo sizes: what each asks for and how to prep a batch

Marketplace photo rules change, so check the help pages before a big shoot. As of October 2026, these are the numbers they publish.
Etsy
- At least 2000 px wide and high recommended.
- First photo at least 635 px on both sides, or it may show lower in search.
- Images over 1 MB “may not finish uploading” on slow connections.
- Thumbnails are cropped, so keep the product centered.
eBay
- Minimum 500 px on the longest side.
- 1600 px on the longest side recommended for mobile.
- Up to 24 photos, max 7 MB each.
- Clean images, no added text or borders.
One pass for a whole shoot
