A sports photographer's iPad workflow: camera to team's social media during the game

Batchly runs on iPhone and iPad. The app interface is in English.
The best explanation of this workflow came from a review, not from me. Here it is in full:
Great Batch Photo Editing + Much, Much More
As a professional sports photographer, this app allows you to quickly batch resize images, plus do so much more. This app has even eliminated the need for me to edit my photos on a PC. As a photographer who needs to provide a selection of photos during a sporting event for the team to use for their social media, I am able to quickly transfer photos from my DSLR camera to my iPad using the camera makers app. Even though Batchly allows for bulk editing of photos, I utilize a pro photography editing app to quickly crop and touch up images as needed. The next step is where the Batchly app shines, as it allows me to do several batch editing steps the other apps don’t do. This app allows you to batch resize all of the images to the same dimensions utilizing the long edge length, for when you have both portrait and landscape style photos. This keeps all of the images uniform in size and file size. The are several ratio options that can be select as well. Resizing and selecting the quality output reduces the files size of a 50-60MP photo, also allowing for quicker uploads to my website for the client to quickly view and download as desired. This app goes one step further and allows you to add additional text to the original file name, such as the date, and in my case, I also add my name as well. The app then replaces the original photos in the Photo app, moving the originals to the deleted folder (just in case) and gives you a new set of uniformed photos. The photos can also be exported to the Files app. This then allows for quick and easy uploading or sharing of the photos. When I first tried this app, it initially did not do some of the amazing features that it currently does, but In providing feedback to the app developer, they took those suggestions and quickly implemented them, exceeding my expectations. This is a great little app, with big results.

The workflow, step by step
- Transfer from the camera to the iPad with the camera maker’s app.
- Pick and touch up in your usual photo editor. Batchly isn’t for retouching.
- Batch pass in Batchly:
- Resize by the long edge so vertical and horizontal shots match.
- Pick a JPEG quality that keeps uploads fast. A 50–60 MP file shrinks a lot.
- Add text to the file names (date, your name).
- Export to Photos (optionally replacing the originals, which go to Recently Deleted) or to Files, where each export gets its own dated folder.
- Upload or share from Files.
Why long edge again
Teams post a mix of vertical and horizontal shots. If every file has the same long side, the set looks consistent and loads at similar speed.
Save it
Build the chain once and save it as a workflow (Pro). At halftime it’s one tap.
Questions people ask
- Do I need a laptop for this?
- Not for resizing, renaming and exporting. Detailed retouching is still easier in a dedicated editor.
Batchly
Resize, compress, watermark and convert hundreds of photos at once, on the device.
